Tiber Rest was painted during the 2017 Paint It Ellicott City plein air event. The town had
just recovered from the 2016 flood. The Tiber River runs under the shops and this scene was
located between shops overlooking the Tiber. The Tiber was at rest. Little did I know the next
flood would occur again in 22 months later in 2018.
